Bivens Wedding

I think the entire experience of the wedding is all about the people. Obviously its about the bride and groom but I find so much joy in seeing/meeting my couples families, friends, and loved ones. Everyone coming together to see ones married is truly so inspiring if you step back and think about EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that goes into a wedding day.

There were many many many beautiful moments throughout this entire day but one of the highlights for me came from the grooms parents. I had got to meet them several hours before the ceremony as my couple chose to do a first look and knock out all the bridal/family pictures before the actual ceremony. They were kind and funny, welcoming, laughing, and so excited for this wedding. They were both also remarried with their spouses close by. What touched me happend after the couples first dance. During the first dance for the groom and his mom Jim (my grooms) dad started to dance with the bride. As the song went on people came up to dance with the couple but Jims parents began to dance together for the remainder of the song.

This may seem like something so small but it touched me down deep in my heart. My parents are divorced and its been far from an easy road for me to handle at times but to see two parents come together for the sake of their children, to dance together on their wedding, to put aside anything other than one of the most important days of their childs life is something I will always remember.

Jim and Laurissia your wedding was truly a beautiful one. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you so much for letting me be there to capture your big day.

XO Christina
